Counteracting Stress with Cannabidiol

We have become a society that can find “a pill” for just about anything. Instead of adding another prescription to the mix, get back to some basics to manage life’s stress. Some of the techniques worth taking a look at include meditation, yoga, exercise and most importantly, spending time with loved ones.
While these are all modalities that can contribute to a healthy, positive lifestyle, sometimes it is not enough. Research has shown that clinical depression is an endocannabinoid deficiency disease. Everyone’s endocannabinoid levels vary, and sensitivities that factor into how one responds to stress are individualized as well. For example, alcohol impacts our endocannabinoid system. So does lack of exercise, a diet laden with corn syrup and artificial sweeteners, or processed foods.
Many people have shown to benefit from cannabidiol or CBD, which is one of the more popular cannabinoids from the cannabis plant. It is popular because it does not cause any of the psychoactive effects that many wish not to experience. Keep in mind if you are currently taking an anti-depressant it is important to seek medical advice if planning to taper off of them. It can be extremely dangerous to stop taking any drug cold turkey.
Keeping our bodies in a constant state of homeostasis is a full-time job in itself and is directly correlated to how our bodies respond to illness and disease. Consider exploring all types of suggestions that can make a positive impact in your daily life.
